NEW FEATURES SITE

This website replaces our original Focus Transport site edited by Oliver Foreman. The 'Features' website will be regularly updated with feature-length articles and pictures and will compliment the daily Focus Blog site, as well as the FocusFlickr site.

Look out for articles from our regular contributors as well as items from guest contributors.

We aim to offer features on a wide range of public transport, both in the UK and worldwide and would be pleased to consider any suitable articles for publication. Contact us at focustransport2011@gmail.com to submit comments and contributions.

We would like to thank Oliver Foreman for his time and enthusiasm spent on the original Focus Transport website, all of the information is now archived and still available.

And now for our first posting

SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW………………………

Welcome to the new Features site for the refreshed Focus Transport website.

So what is the old and the new. Like the old saying we hope to feature and illustrate some things old, such as the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight

Some things new like this New Bus for London (courtesy of Colin Lloyd)

Some things borrowed, Oliver Cromwell by the North Norfolk Railway for their 2013 Gala Weekend

And some things blue

Whilst new Features will appear here on a regular basis, the Daily News items will continue to be reported on the Focus Blogger here and sets of images on the Focus Flickr site here . The popular original site set up by Oliver Foreman is not lost or discarded, but ring-fenced so as to keep all the archived material safe from deletion. Links are maintained to this site from time to time as and when subjects demand.

Indeed subjects covered may well include buses new

And maybe buses blue

Along will come trains old and new

And from trains to boats

And finally from boats to planes

Along the way new technology will be reported upon and illustrated

There will also be historical features as we look back and remind ourselves of some of those halcyon days of transportation

The Focus Transport team hope that you will continue to enjoy the features that were first established on the original Focus Transport website and look forward to contributions from other sources.
